Founding designer
Edia automates the tedious work for math teachers, so that they can spend more time with their students. We guarantee better outcomes with a full money-back guarantee. As the sole designer, I support our sales and content teams and build both student and district products.
Citizen Protect

2018 โ€“ 2020
Design lead
I was the design lead on Citizen's first paid product. This was a critical launch for Citizen, as they looked for a business model that fit with the company mission of making your world a safer place. To date, Protect has saved people from heart attacks, dispatched roadside assistance to users stranded in the desert, and located missing family members.
Google Maps

2016 - 2018
Design lead
The Google Maps research team led a large effort focused on commutes, spending months speaking to users in Mumbai, Seattle, Sydney, Zurich, and Tokyo. I worked closely with the research and product management teams to turn their findings into features for everyday commutes, such as sending alerts for commute disruptions and suggesting alternate routes.

Solo project
I build this simple task tracker for myself, but also as a playground for new web technologies. There are new developments in CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks nearly every day, and this gives me a place to test them before using them in my professional work.
I get startups off the ground.
When you're getting started with your product, you don't need to hire an agency for a perfect logo, brand, or onboarding. The most important thing is iteration and feedback. In the early years of Edia, the founders and I were redoing the entire product every month as we understood more of what teachers and school districts needed.
I'll set up a basic design system and landing page for you, but most of what you need at an early stage is thinking through tons of ideas and exploring user flows. We'll work together as partners to respond to customer feedback, refine your positioning, and build a great product.
I spent 6 years at Google working on large scale products such as Gmail, Google Maps, and Google Drive. I also designed the first iPhone and Android apps for Venmo before they were acquired by PayPal.
